Dublin, Ireland

Dublin: a city of charm, history, character. Unfortunately, we didn't have nearly enough time there. Notice that all the pictures are of the outside of buildings; we had time to walk around, but not enough time to go in and enjoy most of what Dublin had to offer.

Without exception, everyone we encountered was friendly. Dubliners seem proud of their city, and I can see why. I am eager to return.

Very useful signs painted on the street in Dublin ("Look Right," "Look Left"). Following in Winston Churchill's steps (when he visited New York), I was nearly run over because I looked the wrong way for traffic. If only they had these signs at every intersection.

I found out, after taking a few pictures of this bridge, that it is the most photographed bridge in Dublin. I can see why; it has a soothing curvature.

St. Stephens Green

I used to live in Dublin as a child, and that picture of St. Stephens Green actually brought a tear to my eye. I am going there this summer for a few days so I was looking up some recent pictures to refresh myself.
