The Wasatch Cache National Forest, covering about 2 million acres of land, is a rich and diverse place to hike, with gorgeous scenery and trails to suit all preferences and levels. The closest entrance is about an hour's drive southeast from Salt Lake City; the expansive forest stretches all the way into Wyoming.
